In accordance with Ordinance #471, all businesses operating in the city of Sterling Heights are now required to obtain an annual Business License with the City Clerk. Once the completed application, registration fee, and required documents are submitted, a business license is issued for the current year. Prior to expiration the following year on April 30, the City Clerk’s office will send a renewal notice to all registered businesses.
In 2021, all businesses will apply as a new business as we transition to a new software system.
