Overview

To maintain our status as a leader in land use planning and community development, the city of Sterling Heights has designated the entire city as a Brownfield Redevelopment Zone. The purpose of this designation is to allow private developers an opportunity to take advantage of tax incentives and grant programs to redevelop underutilized and/or obsolete properties as well as remediate those properties that may be, or appear to be, contaminated.

Did You Know...

The Brownfield Redevelopment Authority approved a brownfield plan for 40675 Mound Road on behalf of Casadei Steel, which will clean up a contaminated industrial building and allow Casadei to expand, adding 80 jobs over the next 3-5 years.
