Probation Department: Substance Abuse Assessor (Part-Time)

The Substance Abuse Assessor is needed evaluate defendants convicted of substance abuse related charges and complete a written report in a timely manner. Currently, the position is one day per week.
The preferred candidate will possess a minimum of a bachelor degree, preferably in Criminal Justice, Psychology, or a related field; candidates in their final year of college may be considered. MCBAP credentialing is expected within the first six (6) months of employment. Strong writing skills and motivational interviewing techniques are essential. Criminal justice experience is helpful but not required. The Substance Abuse Evaluator must abide by the same rules of confidentiality and codes of conduct as full time employees.
The position is expected to be temporary and last through March 2019.
