Baby Summer Reading

Babies have a simple program. Starting June 18, go to the Youth Services desk to pick up a sheet of goals for the entire summer. Once you complete a goal, mark it off on the sheet. Babies will finish the program by completing three rows. The rows can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.

Once you have finished the three rows, turn in the sheet at the Youth Services desk in between July 16 and Aug. 16 to get your prize!

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

1000 Books LogoThe library is running an early literacy program called 1000 Books Before Kindergarten. The goal is to encourage academic success by offering incentives for kids to read or listen to—you guessed it—1000 books before Kindergarten.

Participation in the program is not required for Summer Reading. However, if you’re already reading books for Summer Reading, it’s not a bad idea to do both programs at the same time! Ask for a booklet and further details at the Youth Services desk.
