General Election Info

  • SHAPE THE FUTURE OF YOUR LOCAL GOVERNMENTThe General Election featuring the 4 & 400 ballot proposals will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020
  • Residents may register to vote at the Election Center (located within the Senior Center) through 8 p.m. Election Day. Those requesting absent voter ballots on Nov. 2 must vote their ballot in the Election Center.
  • To verify that you are registered to vote, find your precinct, and view your sample ballot, visit the mi.gov/vote.
  • All registered voters are eligible to receive an absent voter ballot. The last day to apply for and receive a ballot by mail is Friday, Oct. 30, 2020 at 5 p.m. The Election Center will also be open Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020 to issue absent voter ballots in person.
  • An absent voter application is available at mi.gov/vote or call (586) 446-2420. Your voted absent voter ballot must be delivered to the Election Center or placed in one of the five drop boxes throughout the City by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Note: If you are voting in person, remember to bring your valid photo ID to the polls. Those without proper ID will need to sign an affidavit of identity to receive a ballot.
