Fire Prevention Division
The Fire Prevention Division works to ensure structures are built incorporating the fire safety and fire suppression features mandated by the various codes and standards and to reduce and ultimately, eliminate fire and life safety hazards in buildings through code enforcement and public fire education.

Training Division
The Sterling Heights Fire Department’s Division of Training and Safety is responsible for delivering a variety of training programs, developing proper safety techniques and procedures, maintaining accurate and complete training records, and fostering professional growth and development among our Fire Department members.

Fire Extinguishment Division
The Fire Extinguishment Division works to reduce deaths due to a wide variety of medical conditions and limit pain and suffering through proper emergency medical services while preserving, protecting, and minimizing loss of property from fire.
