Rules: Registration is required for this program. Registration is limited to children in grades 3-8. A limited number of drop-ins may be accommodated if the program does not fill.
Participants are responsible for obtaining their books and should read and become as familiar with them as possible. If our copies are out, ask to have them sent in from another library. Try to get your books sooner, rather than waiting until the last minute.
On the day of the program, participants will enter the Programming Center and sit at a table designated for their grade range. Please be on time! Each table will become a team, and teams will compete against each other answering trivia questions about the books they read. Team participants must be in the same grade range, either grades 3-5 or 6-8.
Participants can make up teams ahead of time, but it is their responsibility to make sure each person is registered, and to sit together on the day of the program. Participants do not have to be on a team when they come in, they will become a team with whoever sits at their table. Each person on the winning team will win a $25 gift card.
On the day of the program, each team starts with 4 points. Each correct answer wins the table one point Each missed or incorrect answer results in the loss of one point. Tables who lose all their points will be eliminated. Play will go for several rounds before we tally points and declare the winners. If a table had less than 4 people, they will get one additional point per person to make up for the missing members. If a team had more than 4 people, one point per person will be subtracted. If there is a tie, we will ask additional questions of the tying teams to determine the winners.
