[ARCHIVED] November Service Update

Library Logo - Web (color)

Given the rising cases of COVID-19, the library has created a new service plan designed to meet the needs of our community while maintaining a safe environment for our residents and staff. This new plan begins on Wednesday, Nov. 18 and will remain in effect through Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021.

Most of the library's core services will remain intact. Both our curbside pickup and home delivery services will continue. In addition, the library's phone service will remain active during our normal hours of operation.

As always, our electronic collection and online resources are available 24/7.

Beginning Wednesday. Nov. 18, all in-person technology use will be suspended. The library will also be closed for all other face-to-face business, including item requests and library card applications. Library patrons who wish to place an item on hold may sign into their account or call us at 586-446-2665. Sterling Heights residents may apply for a library card online.

Starting Wednesday, Nov. 18, all in-person library programs will move to an alternate format. Presentations, performances, and discussions will be done virtually. Craft programs will now feature kits that can be picked up through our curbside service. For more details on each event, please see our calendar of events.

From now through Jan. 3, the library will be closed on Sundays.
