[ARCHIVED] City to provide cooling shelters for those in need on Thursday, Aug. 12

The storm we experienced during the evening of Wednesday, Aug. 11 resulted in loss of power to some areas, downed power lines, traffic light outages, etc.

Please pay extra attention as you approach intersections, and be sure to check your yard for any downed wires before letting children play outdoors. 

If you have lost power and are in need of an air conditioned space during predicted high temps for Thursday, Aug. 12, our Community Center, Senior Center, Nature Center and Library will be open and available to the public. 

Building Hours: 
Community Center 
9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Nature Center
10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Senior Center
9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Library
9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
