[ARCHIVED] MDOT to host public meeting on 2017 M-59 reconstruction project in Macomb County

An open-house style public meeting to provide an overview of the M-59 reconstruction project in the city of Sterling Heights will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.

An open-house style public meeting to provide an overview of the M-59 reconstruction project in the city of Sterling Heights will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.

There will be exhibits displaying project location, types of work and detours. Interested parties will have the opportunity to meet the design team and learn details about the project.

MDOT is planning to reconstruct M-59 from Delco Blvd. to Hayes Road. Work includes modernizing traffic signals, improving drainage, upgrading ramps and sidewalks to ADA standards, and replacing signs. This projected $32 million investment is expected to begin in June 2017.
