[ARCHIVED] Sterling Heights to host Neighborhood Parks ribbon cutting Oct. 17

The City of Sterling Heights would like to invite the media and the public to join for a ribbon cutting celebrating the five newly renovated neighborhood parks in 2017.

The newly renovated parks, including Washington Square, Benjamin Hadley, Thomas Chappelle, Leroy Imus and Hampton Parks, are part of the City’s $45 million voter-approved Recreating Recreation plan.

Who: Members of the media, Sterling Heights residents, elected officials and park enthusiasts

What: Ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of five (5) newly renovated neighborhood parks in Sterling Heights in 2017

Where: Washington Square Park, 14645 Stadler Road

When: 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 17

Why: The voter-approved Recreating Recreation millage brought five (5) neighborhood park renovations in 2017, including: Washington Square, Benjamin Hadley, Thomas Chappelle, Leroy Imus and Hampton Parks. Come check out Washington Square’s new amenities and celebrate with the city! Light refreshments will be provided.
