DPW plans to host Ken Stempowski Food Drive

Employees of the Sterling Heights Department of Public Works are gearing up for another season of collecting goods for those less fortunate with the Ken Stempowski Memorial Food Drive.

DPW employees are continuing the proud tradition initiated by a DPW colleague who began the department’s annual collections more than 25 years ago.

Donations of non-perishable food to benefit the Macomb Food Program are now being accepted at the Sterling Heights Public Works facility between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday and at the Community Relations Department, located in the lower level of City Hall, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Collections will be accepted through Friday, December 8, 2017. Checks made out to the Macomb Food Program are also appreciated.

The Sterling Heights Department of Public Works is located at 7200 18 Mile Road. City Hall is located at 40555 Utica Road. For more information, contact Mary Sears at 586-446-2440.
