[ARCHIVED] Family Trouble Leads To Homicide In Sterling Heights

On July 17th, 2018 at approx. 3:30 pm Officers were dispatched to the Lakeside Terrace Apartments on a 911 call for a family trouble.

Upon the Officers arrival they were approached by a male subject that was involved in the family trouble.  Upon investigating further, they located a 41 year old female who was deceased in the apartment.  The male subject that was on scene was immediately taken into custody.  The Sterling Heights Investigations Bureau is currently investigating this incident as a homicide.  If the public has any information on this incident they are encouraged to contact the Sterling Heights Police Department at 586-446-2825.  We will release the identification of the suspect upon his arraignment on Thursday, July 19th.

The suspect in this homicide was arraigned on the following charge:

  • 1st degree murder – NO BOND

The suspect is identified as Cardell Versean Sain, B/M, 12/26/98, who is a resident of Sterling Heights.
