Shred Day - March 30

Shred -IT US JV LLC will be at the DPW, 7200 18 Mile Road, on Saturday, March 30 to shred documents for no charge from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Shredding will be conducted on site for complete security and the shredded materials will be recycled.  A limit of three paper size boxes (15”L x 12”D x 10”H) will be shredded per person. This event is for residents ONLY. A list of acceptable materials can be found here.


Household Hazardous Waste Day - April 14

The Household Hazardous Waste Event will be held at the DPW, 7200 18 Mile Road, on Saturday, April 14 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. ERG Environmental will be on site collecting, identifying, and packaging for transport acceptable household hazardous materials. A list of acceptable materials can be found here. This event is for residents ONLY.


Electronics Recycling Day - April 6

Great Lakes Electronics will be at the DPW, 7200 18 Mile Road, on Saturday, April 6 to accept electronics for recycling from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents looking to get rid of old televisions, computers, or any other electronic device that has an electrical cord attachment are invited to drop them off at the DPW.  A list of acceptable electronics can be found here.


Clean Up Saturdays - April 27, May 4, May 11

DPW will host Clean Up Saturdays on April 27, May 4 and May 11 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their facility located at 7200 18 Mile Road. This is event is for residents ONLY. Residents may bring items like furniture, lumber, tires, dirt, tree stumps to dispose of.

Items that will NOT be accepted include commercial waste, air conditioning units, ammunition or explosives, DEA controlled substances, lab chemicals, non-standard gases, radioactive materials, shock sensitive materials, unknown/unidentified gases, medical sharps. All other items will be subject to inspection at the time of the event.
