    Through a synthesis of 5-minute yoga practices, this session will present easy-to-practice yet potent tools to enhance health, joy, peace, love, success, and inner exploration. Learn how to cope with the hectic pace of modern lifestyles and realize your full potential in all spheres of life. Designed by Sadhguru, and conducted in thousands of cities, towns, and villages worldwide, these workshops intend to bring the timeless benefits of Yoga and meditation to every human being on the planet. It is recommended that you wear loose, comfortable clothing and do not eat for 90 minutes before the event. Participants may want to bring a yoga mat or towel. Chairs will be available for those who have difficulty sitting on the floor.

    Santa Claus is coming to help you celebrate the season with an all-ages open house in the library’s programming center. Children can make crafts and tell Santa what they would like this Christmas. Parents and care givers can capture the memories on their phones or cameras! Santa will give out small gifts during the program. Drinks and snacks will be provided.

  2. Candlelight Hike

    December 14, 2019, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Nature Center

    Enjoy a self-guided 40 minute hike along an illuminated trail stopping at nature stations along the way. The paved one-mile trail runs along the scenic Clinton River and even goes through a climax forest. Each station will have a presenter ready to meet you sharing a story or talk on nature related topics like astronomy, nocturnal animals and much, much more. A warm Nature center will be awaiting your return with hot chocolate. This is a family program, strollers are recommended for younger participants. Please dress for the weather.

    The Nature Center is keeping its doors open a little later on December 19th; please stop by between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to visit with us, look around the display room and partake in a special nature related craft. This is a great opportunity for those who work during the day to connect with nature and sharpen your creative senses. We look forward to your visit!   7. Kids Night at the Nature Center = Parent's Night Out!

    December 27, 2019, 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM @ Nature Center

    Kids can spend an evening at the Nature Center which means parents can enjoy a night out. The Nature Center staff have planned fun, nature related games, activities, crafts and even an exciting night hike (weather permitting, please dress for the outdoors). You can drop off the kids at 6 p.m. pickup time is at 9:30 pm. Have the kids eat dinner before they come; we will have light refreshments available. All Parks and Recreation staff have passed a background check and are certified in First Aid and CPR. The staff to child ratio is 6:1 at most, do don't delay because space is limited!
