  1. Fan-Woodcarving

    July 20, 2019, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Nature Center

Fan-woodcarving is the process of slicing wood into thin blades to create "feathers" and then interlocking them to create a 3-dimensional design from just one piece of wood. Tony Gonzalez has used this technique to create amazing wood fan bird carvings and he will be here to demonstrate how fan carving is done. Tony's step by step instructions will amaze you. If you are a woodcarver or love Old World folk art, you don't want to miss this free event! Call the Nature Center for more information at (586) 446-2710.
