    Come to the library for our Summer Scavenger Hunt! Stop by the Youth Services desk to pick up a scavenger hunt sheet. Complete the sheet, then return it to the desk for some prizes! This program is designed for ages 3 to 12, but all ages can participate.

  1. Dog Days of Summer

    August 6, 2019, 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM @ Nature Center

    Young Explorers will experience the "dog days" of summer with our new best friend! Trevor is a certified therapy dog who loves exploring with us. During this 3-week class we will experience nature through a variety of hands-on topics including venturing outside. Classes will be held both indoors and outdoors so please dress for the weather. This is a drop off program but parents/caretakers are welcome to stay. We will meet on August 6, August 13 and August 20. Register early to secure your spot!

  2. Grand Connections Storytime in the Park

    August 6, 2019, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM @ Dodge Park

    This program is for grandpairs (grandparents and their grandchildren ages 3 to 8). A Librarian from the Sterling Heights Public Library will read stories in our beautiful Dodge Park pavilion #2. The little ones may do a craft to take home. After story time, grandpairs are encouraged to stay and play and check out the many amenities in Dodge Park and/or bring some lunch and have a picnic.

  3. New Tomorrows Grief Support Group For Ages 50+

    August 6, 2019, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Senior Activity Center

    This grief support group is an 8-week experience that will give you insight on both how to handle grief as well as a community of other group members who also have recently encountered loss. This group will offer you a safe and trustworthy place to sort through the emotions you are experiencing as a result of your loss while discovering new hope for tomorrow. Group Leader: Jesse Stirnemann, McLaren Hospice of Sterling Heights Bereavement Coordinator.
