Up to four people from the same household can register for a 30-minute self-guided tour of the Upton House Museum. Registrants can connect with Sterling Heights’ past with photos, displays, and more! The full tour requires stairs; second floor is not wheelchair accessible.

  4. Maker Space Open Lab

    Sterling Heights cardholders can sign up to use the Maker Space. Use our equipment to make your vision come to life! It features a 3D printer, Cricut laser cutter, sewing machine, and computer with the Adobe Creative Suite software. This is open to all ages, however, those under age 12 will need a parent or guardian with them. We ask that both child and guardian register. Both can be registered under the guardian's library card number. Walk-ins will be taken if the room is not at capacity and the desired equipment is free.

    In Real Life (IRL) is designed for individuals that have a cognitive impairment with neurodiversity. This is an opportunity to meet new friends and hang out with others who understand you "in real life". Play games that are created to encourage appropriate social skills, learn ways to deal with transitioning from teen years to young adult. Work on the skills needed to make personal connections and develop valued relationships both in the group and elsewhere in life. If you have a developmental disability, these years can be even harder and leave you feeling anxious, alone and unsure. Supported by a recreation therapist, this friendship group will keep you connected and give your social life a mid-week boost! This program meets every Wednesday night from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the Sterling Heights Community Center. Please register by clicking the Online Registration link.
